tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy

the above are some of the snapshots i took during my first time watching a tonsillectomy with adenoidectomy. in fact, it was my first time ever in a surgery room.

at first i was kinda scared to take any picture because the doctors and nurses in there were looking too serious but halfway through the surgery the anesthetist said it's okay to take pictures in there! :D

and while i was snapping pictures the medical assistant got excited and asked me to snap his picture as well (picture #6).

totally looking forward for my next chance to be in another (hopefully different) surgery. i would like to watch a rhinoplasty! that would be interesting. but that also means another encounter with The Strict Sister On Duty¹. in short, she's a SOD wtf.

(and no, SOD is not a bad word. it's not a curse but it sounds crude enough by my standard wtf wtf.)

¹ one particular sister who always refuses to let us in! even when the surgeons and doctors are fine having us in big number (say 6-8 students per room), but she will be the one saying "sorry, you are not allowed to go in". or "only 2 students in one room!!!!". or like today she actually said "there were already 2 students in there" but turned out there was none when i sneaked in and ignored her words wtf. maybe i can start writing on her next time because her story(ies) definitely can go into the stupid security series category. hmph!
