just as the world is swept with the new epidemic of The Black Plague (sorry Bieber, someone just outcasted you as the mayor of Annoying Town via foursquare wtf) i am not left out s well because right now i am down with the flu which i suspect due to the current transition of the weather in egypt.

i have been planning to go for morning jog again due to all these excessive weights i put on last month in malaysia but somehow my nose is more advanced because it has been running all night long non-stop wtf why am i so punny.

in case you haven't figured out yet, this is me blogging right from cairo in my rented house here surrounded by tissue papers.

and in case i haven't told you yet, before my departure to malaysia last february due to all the protests that had been going on all over egypt, i had unwillingly left my house key with my neighbour because she insisted on fixing the plumbing in my kitchen. it had been leaking for few days but since i was err.. busy with other stuff at that time i had been putting it on my "Do Later" list.

i always have issues with trusting an acquaintance let alone a neighbour apatah lagi stranger kan! after all this is the neighbour who loved to bother me at the wrong time sometimes knocking on my door at midnight just to give me a plate of kosyari and when she saw my groggy face she even had the nerve to ask "oh you were sleeping?" without any guilt wtf.

i tried to reason at first with her, creating excuse after excuse why the repair could wait until i returned back in few weeks time but this time she actually came up with a reasonable one because all the leaking would cause the carpet to become wet and you know right what would happen if you left a piece of clothes wet and unattended for a long time: BAD ODOUR.

so with heavy heart, i gave her my house key and in two hours time, i managed to move all my electrical appliances (everything from the kitchen, living room and stuff) and locked them up in my second bedroom.

so long story cut short, i jetted off to malaysia with a feeling that something bad was going to happen to my house. the thought of the plumber and the neighbour going into my house with their shoes on was enough to give me a coma okay! it was nothing like the western lifestyle please because their shoes were the same one that had been stepping all over the dusty roads in cairo!

and my worse fear was confirmed last wednesday evening when i returned and opened the door i swear la okay my jaw dropped down because the whole floor and furnitures was covered with dust despite the fact that i already locked all the windows in the house!

but luckily when i opened the fridge there was no foreign organism living in there thank you to my awesomeness in being hard headed to not switch it off. the neighbour was bugging me to switch off my fridge before i went back because she was afraid my electric bill would shoot up to the roof but that was the limit for me to step down and said no because i still had food and snacks and whatnots in there!

and when i stepped into the kitchen i figured out who (perhaps using "what" is more appropriate wtf) was the culprit behind all these mess? my neighbour - cleverly i must add - left the window in the kitchen opened after the plumber was done with repairing everything, causing the wind to blow the sand into my house. mahai, i was so angry okay!

so another long story cut short, it took me two days to put my house back into its old glory wtf. moving back the washing machine into its place, panting when i tried to lift the huge glass bookshelves into the living room again and so on.

after two rubbish bags and three boxes filled with unwanted stuff, i finally could sit down and breathe the air of relief. but not for long, because all the non-stop cleanings (exaggerate) and inhaling all the dust causing me to have running nose and fever right now demmit.

so anyway, i was pissed with the neighbour obviously for she was stupid enough to left the window open. haihlah. but just last night i spotted that she actually changed a lot of stuff in the house.

there was a new shiny wall outlet in my kitchen replacing the broken one (not that i didn't take a good care of it, but the outlet was broken before i moved into this place and i just didn't bother to fix it).

my water heater which took ages to heat a tankful of water last time, now actually needs only 2 minutes to give me nice warm flow of water.

and just this morning, as i entered the bathroom i just realised the switch in the bathroom which - again - was broken before i moved into the house (thanks to the old renter wtf) and the old guy simply taped it to secure in its place was also replace with a new one.

and of course, this goes with saying, my leaking pipe in the kitchen was obviously fixed as well.

hmmm... perhaps next time i should give her the benefit of the doubt.

but of course not too much. i still have that trust issues. heh.

p.s. husno zhon (the title) means positive thinking in case you are not familiar with the term.
