krisis besar musim panas 2011

SAIKO?!

ye, memang fakta am bahawa saya kepala angin dan panas baran tapi kali ini aku rasa macam rasional je kalau nak tembak je orang yang memandai pergi batalkan sistem ni.

once upon a time, i was a mean girl

i always thought i was a nice little kid. you know, well-behaved, well-mannered, loved by all.

but that thought was crushed by a friend of mine tonight when she reminded me how evil err.. let us use the word Extraordinarily Awesome to describe how i was back in pasum in the year 2006.

so, i was assigned to this room with the other three girls. after a week one of them registered out of the place because she was offered to come to egypt. so that left me with the other two. lets call them Wanie Gedik and Ana Dinda wtf.

anyways, life went on as usual for the three of us until a few days later, a new girl registered into pasum and she took the empty bed in our room. lets call her Tasya.

so anyway, the first time i met Tasya, i was a little overwhelmed. you see, i was more of a reserved girl/an introvert during the first time meeting a new person. but Tasya was this wide smile, friendly, happy happy chatty chatty girl and positively extrovert. in other words, she got along meeting new people easily unlike yours truly.

so anyway, she was done putting all her stuff in her locker and went back home because her house was near so going to the class next morning wasn't a problem lah.

so came the day when she was supposed to move finally into our room, living with us. in the evening right after we were done with lectures and practical session, she went rightaway to take her bath and left her locker open. i, at that time, had a mandarin and because of my, pardon me, Extraordinarily Awesomeness, i decided to put it into her locker and told the others to pretend as if we knew nothing about it.

when she returned obviously she was surprised to find it right there among all her clothes and junk foods (haha serious this girl and her snacks really couldn't be apart. any kind of snacks and junk food you name it, she had it right there).

so she asked the other two "where did that mandarin come from?" and they just shook their head and tried not to laugh. and when it was my turn, i simply answered her with a straight face,"oh entah. hantu kot kasi." (translation: i don't know. perhaps the ghost put it there wtf)

and suddenly, we all couldn't resist it anymore and bursted out laughing at her blur expression (because she didn't really get the prank at first). HAHAHA!

actually i didn't really remember this story at all until my friend brought it up this evening while i was chatting with her. she said my face during that time was like super evil and even my laugh was "evil gilaaaa"! also she said the scene was like something out of a high-school/college movie where the hot girl would pull a mean prank on the new girl wtf. and also i didn't think i could ever say that line! "hantu kot letak" wtf wtf.

Tasya, if you're reading this, gua minta maaf gua nakal time tu. hahahahahaha! serious i feel guilty right now thinking about it. we didn't have enough time to get to know each other and i left pasum earlier without any chance to actually get to know you properly so of course the last memory i have of you is... how you overwhelmed me during our first meet. but given the chance, i would love to meet with you again and give you a new mandarin wtf . hahahaha nolah nolah, joking.

and honestly, talking to Wanie Gedik makes me realise how much i miss hanging out with you guys. oh those times when we were young (of course we still are)!

serious ni, serious. T__T

All of us, taken on my last day in Pasum. look at how innocent we looked back then!

(standing) Tasya, Cassy, Ana Raflee, Gra, Fiza,
(front row) Kakak Garang, Yours Truly, Wanie Gedik

p.s. there's no need to mention that how uncanny the resemblance between me and Selena Gomez. this is not a doctored pic wtf wtf.

Global Village: it's the international day in Ain Shams Med Fac!

last year we were offered to participate in this event where all the foreign students in my medschool would open up a booth and show what their country has to offer; the culture, the tradition, the food and the story behind their histories. but i guess the timing wasn't right and everyone's hand was filled with some sort of things to be done

few weeks ago an egyptian student from the student union approached a junior and asked us whether we were interested in one of the booths offered and hell yeah, we accepted it this time and man, the event really rocked!

event started at 10am but we joined them at 11am because that was when we were done with our lectures and it was only for 30 minutes because we had to rush for the first forensic prelab session.

i had fun mingling around looking, shaking my head to the bollywood tunes blasting from the India booth, ogling at hotties from the Jordan booths (seriously, they ARE really THAT good looking i almost believe in love at first sight again wtf) and at one point i believed i met the perfect candidate for my future husband, entertaining the egyptians who came to the malaysian booth for a while by teaching them how to play batu seremban (and failed at batu 2 - something like level 2 of the game - wtf damn paiseh ah) and taking lots and lots of pictures!

and after we were done with the prelab i stayed back again and managed to watch the cultural show which was actually the highlight of this event. every representative/ country got to present something - a tradition - to us. and we, malaysian, chose to mesmerize them arabs with our silat gayung.

at one point i almost believed one of the silat boys was Hang Tuah reincarnation and yes, abang Boboi, i am talking about you here. so were the rest of them! though i think i might irritated some of the egyptians standing beside me by shouting excitedly whenever the boys pulled an interesting stunt or move.

and that's not it. there was another highlight today!!!! for the first time i met with JEHAN MISKIN OF CAIRO WEIII DAMN EXCITED OKAY BUKAN SENANG NAK JUMPA SUPASTARRRRRRR ZOMG. :P

anyways, all in all it was a happy happy day and i will end this entry with lots of pictures! enjoy the gallore!

#18 ohai! a korean wtf.

#19 inilah muka muka hantu drama korea mesir. lukpi looked extremely happy standing beside that korean chick. tsk. -__-"

#20 the nigerian girls.

#21 some of us even had their hands painted to show support for palestin.

#22 stalker snapshot of ijok atas permintaan Jehan Miskin Cairo™

#23 Hang Tuah ASU!

#24 the rest of the silat boys representing Malaysia for the cultural show. L-R: unknown, unknown, farhan bariq, Hang Tuah alep, ijok and unknown. sorry didn't manage to get your names because i am a bad senior i admit. -_-

#25 the jordanians really ended their show with a bang!

so that was more or less how the Global Village event in my university went off today!

btw, the student union asked for those who photographed or recorded videos throughout the event to email them. do you think i should?

Tradisi Tahunan

oh janganlah please. penat dah tau nak tumbang tumbang ni. -______-"

howdy!

did you see it? did you see it? DID YOU SEE IT? *psychotic eye glares*

either way you still got it right! yours truly just did mini tweakings all over her blog today unintentionally. she just played around in photoshop making a new sidebar banner to promote her Just Another Project 365™ but you know how one thing would always lead to another?

yeah, that was what happened.

i somehow eff-ed up the whole layout while uploading the new banner for the sidebar (oh please don't say you didn't realise it) (i was referring to the *new* sidebar banner) (if you haven't, go go go see it!) and the whole things went cuckoo. so no other choice la, had to start from scratch and while i was on the journey of reinstalling my blog to its previous (self-proclaimed) glory, i decided to do the unthinkable.

by changing the color combinations!

stop saying it's still pink! it's pink but this new one is in a different shade okay? it's hotter and bolder.

and what's up with the turqoise / tiffany's blue being splashed all over this website? well, that's my second fave color in case you don't know!

so anyway it's been a while since i write something so yeah here's some updates in my life in case you're interested. if you aren't, just be a sweetie and pretend as if you do.

first of all, i am done with opthalmology clinical round today! as usual i was the last one to be examined by the doctor despite being the second earliest to reach the department in the morning. curse my student ID number (which was the last one FML) and curse the time we were supposed to do our presentation (which was supposed to be at 830am in the morning but we were delayed until 11am). grrr!

and the presentation didn't go as expected too. i didn't stutter that much but the doctor was bombarding me and my group mates with questions but he was nice to give us all good marks. but i didn't get to diagnose a patient which was very disappointing (honest)! i somemore bring my never been used pen torch bought during the last ENT round! and i kept practising all the tests the night before and before my group were called into the examination room!

i guess it was because we were the last group the be examined and there wasn't any patient around so the doctor had to just ask us to explain the acuity test and stuff to him. and guess what, there was only four test and i was the fifth (and the last one to be tested remember?!) and he actually ran out of test to ask me HAHAHAHA!

so in the end he asked me something relating to the cornea which i somehow managed to answer poorly. i didn't expect that at all lah because that one was supposed to be done with a patient as told by my assigned doctor/supervisor.

but oh well, whatever happened this afternoon had already happened and i still got that marks.

so this saturday i will begin a new clinical round of forensic and toxicology and i am all prepared to go CSI in the college. *snaps on rubber gloves and puts on cool black shades*

and lastly, i am adopting a child in 4 months time. the paperworks are all in order and everything seems to go pretty well so far! :))))))))))

surprise?

no believe?

what do you mean you don't believe me?!?!

you say i no maternal instinct??!?! now that hurts okay. i really am hurt. sobs.

okay fine. don't believe that. i just lied.

Happy Friday everyone!

Egypt, post-revolution

was walking aimlessly along the road in Madina Nasr one afternoon after my tuition got cancelled and i found this very long wall with murals and grafittis on it, painted by a group of locals who called themselves as the freedom painters! all related to the egypt revolution

passers by (i almost typed passerbies as plural wtf) couldn't help tp stare at me while i was snapping pictures. err... jakun much? -_-

if you asked me about the changes in egypt post-revolution i didn't think there were much changes, because so far i only spotted a (relatively) cleaner road because of less rubbish littering along the walk? and also some metered taxis rigged up their meters. grrr!

there are still some random locals who come up to us foreigners demanding for some money. in fact two days ago, a random egyptian woman who dress just fine (didn't look poor or anything) entered the lecture hall and was rambling something in egyptian to us. i couldn't really understand but she was saying but i kinda got the "fiften years old kid" part. or i thought i got the "fifteen years old kid" part.

and then she hold out her hand and we got what she wanted; Money. -_-

and recently, i went to tahrir square (which is now the tourist attraction in egypt wtf) and saw soooo many stalls by the roadside selling 25 jan merchandises! t-shirts, stickers, egyptian flags etc.

also most of apartment rents in cairo shoot up. including my apartment.

and that's it. not much for a New Egypt eh?

April Fool

1 April di bumi mesir disambut pada hari jumaat tepat waktu azan asar sedang berkumandang dengan gegaran aftershock kesan daripada gempa bumi 6.0 di Greece.

mula mula fikir "ah hantu mana pulak nak main acah acah ni?" tapi bila tengok lampu tergantung di siling ikut berayun terus aku cuak sebentar.

perhaps it's not too late to reflect on how we are living our lives. no?
