Laundry Delivery Boy

amboi.

ini kengkawan saya

the above is the ending of the video i managed to come up with such short notice for our annual batch gathering and makan makan last night. i recorded everything you have seen on last thursday in less than 30 minutes right after the class finished, went back and tried to work with what i had got in less 2 days. oh did i mention that not all of my colleagues knew that i was actually recording their expressions and thought i was actually snapping away them faces? heh heh hehhh. #megusta

and i know some parts in this video out of timing with the song accompanying it (it's the Glee cast version of True Colors) but yeah, it's called irony. and there's no boundaries in art. really. ;p

(plus i already gave up at the last few hours before the event because seriously, you can get sick staring at the same faces you are seeing almost on daily basis. HAHAHAHA)

oh why the ending only, you ask?

aku crop buang part awal sebab aku rasa part tu adalah sangat lame dan bosan sekali. plus reputasi kreatif cik merah jambu harus dipelihara wtf and nothing is ironic about my reputation wtf.

#25 she...

...wants you to know that it's hard not to like you.

p.s. is this the return of the 'she' series?

Lost and Found

Mid 2007
i lost my purse and everything inside it. actually, didn't realise about it until i reached home and that was because i was looking for money to pay the fee of the doorman or something of the building i was staying in. went hectic for a while looking for it since i kept all my necessaries in there; bank cards, malaysian IC, student card, some important notes and perhaps, waiting-to-be-thrown away receipts wtf.

after a while of turning the house upside down, i got a call from my bank in egypt telling me that they had frozen my account since someone had reported that he found a wallet and didn't know how to contact me so decided to call the bank instead with the hope of getting my phone number.

to cut the story short, i got his number from the bank and contacted the guy myself and set up for us to meet later that day. wallet was back safely into my hands together with all the contents still intact.

Winter 2008
i accidentally left my biochemistry textbook in the metro (something like our LRT in malaysia) and definitely accepted the fate that i was never going to see it again since i only wrote my name together with my student id number in it. got myself a new textbook with a heavy heart since i had written a lot of notes in the lost one.

3 months later an egyptian in the college came and asked me whether i knew any malaysian with the name "pinksterz". i told her "i am pinksterz". and she said someone from metro had passed her the book last week and told her to return it back. after 3 freaking months.

December 2010
i was in a cab on my way back home and after i was done paying the cab fare, i slipped my handphone recklessly into the winter coat pocket. while i was climbing the stairs to reach my apartment, i mindlessly slipped my hand into the pocket only to find out that there was nothing in there.

"oh shit, it slipped out again!!!"

quickly i dialled the number with my second handphone and the uncle answered it but due to my er, awesomeness in communicating in arabic, i failed to understand what he was saying and vice versa. tried to call the number again an hour later but somehow the phone was switched off. i gave up thinking that it was gone for good.

later that night, a friend texted me asking whether i had lost my phone because that number called him and was asking. i was shocked! so since he was better at dealing with egyptian in arabic, i decided to hand the matter to him.

so the deal was made, he would meet up with the driver after promising to pay the price on the taxi's meter due to the trouble the driver had to go through to hand me back my phone. nevermind the fact that i was going to lose some money over the phone but it was better than buying a new one!

so to cut the story short, phone was safely back in my hand two days later, and i had to pay the guy 150LE.

Today
the weather was warm in the evening enough to make me take off my grey cardigan off. hanged it on my bag in between the handles. was walking home and chatting with a friend before we parted off due to different paths of going back home.

5 minutes later (which was like 20 meters!!!!!!!!!!) i realised my bag somehow felt lighter. looked at it and saw that my cardigan gone. went back again looking for it, with the hope that i might somehow dropped it and it would still be there.

bumped into a few colleagues and asked them whether they saw it while walking out from the hospital and no answer was positive. went back through the same track, trying to look for it, still nothing.

i guess an egyptian was quick enough to grab it in that 5 minutes of carelessness.

but i sure still hope this time i will still be as lucky as before even though i ran out of the "third time lucky" charm already. ;(

*update: yeah turned out i am not lucky this time. the cardigan is gone for good.

My 11-11-11

got a rose from a complete stranger aka the flower selling guy as a gift!

oh too bad he's an egyptian.

Raya means Makan.

So. turned out i am still being diligent and hardworking and passionated with blogging. few hours after publishing the previous entry (yang bajet teaser la konon wtf) i am already itching to publish this one. iman blogging yang senipis kulit bawang sungguh.

it began a week or so ago after i was done with my lectures and was in the taxi on the way home, layan-ing my own thoughts when out of the blue, i decided to enjoy my hari raya for this year differently. with malaysians instead of the usual celebrating with my egyptian foster family.

so i contacted hani in alex and everything just fell into the places, she told me i could join her friends potluck party and last friday i boarded the train there alone!

so here there are, the pictures from raya makan makan get-together/ Qiqi's surprise birthday party which i selamba-ly joined at Johannas and Sadhana's place!

preparing the props for the surprise birthday party before the girl reached the place. damn funny please, when she rang the bell, they all became frantic and was trying to hide it all in the other room. when she rang the bell again, Johannas simply said "kejap, tak jumpa kunci" HAHAHAHAHHAAHA funny okay because how can you be locked from the inside! but luckily, Qiqi bought it anyway.

malaysian food galore: Soto, bergedil, nasi himpit, beef rendang, lots of desserts, and the best of all KUAH KACANG!

there were balloons written with captions suited for other occasions than birthday. "it's a boy!" "just married and randomest of all, there was even a balloon with a flag on it hahahaha! (not sure what country it was, my geography knowledge suckballs)

the right-most girl is Najwa, who used to be my roomate back in pasum! what a small world kannn.

red velvet cupcakes was part of the surprise party for the birthday girl!

and lastly pictures of them (not all are in the pics though, specifically the girls. sorry korang!):

L-R: Johannas (the host!) , Ewe (that was what they were calling him, apart from the nick "sheikh"), Haq, Euphoric Face wtf.

L-R: Hani, Nana, Qiqi, Azreen, Sadhana (the hostess!) and Nadia (front!)

p.s. unwatermarked pictures are courtesy of NadZaraAzmi's oh-sem dslr!

Aidiladha in Alexandria

as you can (or can't, either one, i don't mind haha) guess from pictures above, i celebrated my Hari Raya Korban in alexandria with some malaysian med-peeps from there! more pictures coming up soon. how soon it is will depend on my dedication on blogging nowadays but these will do for now.

all pictures were taken on the morning of Eid Adha, using my phone since i didn't bring along my camera, while we were waiting for the prayer to begin.

p.s. nama masjid? gua tak ingat. sorry. gua bukan orang alex kahkah.

YAY!

nothing sums up how i am feeling right now better than this:

oh and Happy Eid Adha in advance, everyone! :D
